Chapter 6 Normal Mode

● Self-timing mode

Measurement is automatically performed according to the internal synchronous

signal.

Note 1: When the self-timing hold mode is used, the external synchronous input is

ignored.

Note 2: When the reset input terminal and the GND terminal are short-circuited,

the retained value is reset and measurement starts again.

■ Target recognition method in self-timing mode

The LS-5000 series’ self-timing mode takes a specified duration to start sample-

holding after the LS-5001 has recognized that a target has been placed in the

measuring area. (The target recognition method varies depending on the

SEGMENT.)

The LS-5001 can measure a target regardless of the direction it enters the

measuring area from.
