SL-V-M-NO2-E
Interlock-reset-ready output
The Interlock-reset-ready output is a NON-SAFETY-RELATED function.
The Interlock-reset-ready output (Green wire on the transmitter) is enable when manual start or manual
restart is set. This output informs the external devices (non-safety-related devices) that the interlock state
on the SL-V is ready to be released by pressing the reset button because the SL-V does not detect any
interruptions in the detection zone.
This output is not a safety-related output but just information for usability. Activation of this
output never guarantees the safety of whole machine system and never configures a part of
the interlock reset mechanism. The safety of whole machine system must be established by
the safety-related control system, and the entire responsibility for that establishment and
also the use of this function must be on the customer. Failure to follow this warning may
result in significant harm to the machine operators including injury or death.
Refer to page 2-10 for more information on the warning and description about resetting
interlock.
Be sure to confirm absolutely that there is nobody in the hazardous zone, before the inter-
lock is released by the interlock reset mechanism. Failure to follow this warning may result
in significant harm to the machine operators including injury or death.
The Interlock-reset-ready output is not allowed to be used as the safety output for safety-
related control system. Usage of this function as safety output may result in significant harm
to the machine operators including serious injury or death.

Regardless of whether PNP or NPN output type cables are selected, the SL-V Interlock-reset-ready out-
put can be connected to either PNP input devices or NPN input devices. Refer to the time charts men-
tioned in this manual because the output logic of the Interlock-reset-ready output is different depending on
the connected device.
