SL-V-M-NO2-E
2-7 Wait Input Function
The wait input is a NON-SAFETY-RELATED function.
This is the function that puts the OSSD into an OFF state through a signal from an external device (non
safety-related device).
How to use
(1) The signal from the external non safety-related control device is connected to the wait input. When
this signal is ON, the OSSD of the SL-V goes to OFF.
(2)
This function is useful for testing and making sure that the machine which the SL-V is installed on can stop
within the specified period of time when the OSSD goes into an OFF state.
The wait output is not allowed to be connected to the safety output provided from the safety-
related control system. Connection to the safety output of the safety-related control system
may result in significant harm to the machine operators including serious injury or death.
The SL-V goes into an Interlock condition if the wait input is activated when using manual reset mode.
See "Interlock Function" (page 2-7)
The OSSD goes into an OFF state when the wait input is activated while the SL-V is muted or in an
override condition. The SL-V returns to normal operation after the wait input is deactivated.
See "Muting function" (page 2-29)
See "Override function" (page 2-45)
